Sennheiser/Neumann just announced that I was the winner of their 2012 Bo Bice mixing competition, for the mix I did of Bo Bice’s song November.

We were given the tracks from 3 unreleased songs from Bo Bice, and we could pick one of the three to mix and enter into the contest.  I liked the song November the best and knew I could do a great job with the mix.

Today they announced that my mix won the contest and that I would receive a $4200 Neumann U87 microphone as my prize.  They gave me permission to post the song online, and it will be forwarded to Bo Bice to see if they may want to release it at some point.

I already wrote up an article about creative ways to use mix automation, and used this winning mix as an example.  You can see that post on my Music-And-Technology.com web site here:

Mix Automation – Beyond Volume

And here is the winning mix I did:

I’m available for mixing work via the internet.  I work with bands and artists from all over the world.  If you want an award winning mix of your song, contact me for more details.  I do major label quality mixing at very reasonable rates!

Thanks to Bo Bice and Sennheiser/Neumann for this great opportunity!
